Mort & Co Lot Feeders P/L operates farming operations across three sites in Northern NSW and SE Queensland. The business has a permanent full-time Supervisory position available based at Grassdale between Dalby and Cecil Plains in South East Qld. Reporting to the Farming Manager this position involves the supervision of daily operations over 3,200 hectares of irrigated and dry-land cropping.

The successful applicant will have the intent to work efficiently and safely and contribute to the continuous improvement of operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Staff supervision, instruction & training;
  • Farming operations organization & scheduling;
  • Operation of broad-acre and irrigation farming equipment;
  • Monitoring crop and agronomic conditions;
  • Participation in planning & budgeting; and
  • Record keeping.

This position requires weekend and after hours work as dictated by crop requirements. Previous experience with broad-acre controlled traffic farming and / or irrigation farming is desirable. Remuneration (inclusive of housing and work vehicle) will reflect the successful applicant’s skills and experience.
