Accountability:
My client is looking for someone to provide high standard technical support services to their customer base and be recognised as such by their customers and within the industry. Contribute to overall success of the company by maintaining customer loyalty toward products and services.
Responsibility:
- Provide quality on-site and remote technical support service activities for the provided computer systems and peripherals, in accordance with service policies and procedures.
- Install newly delivered systems ensuring that the installation delivery covers all requirementsfor the servicepurchased by the customer, and provide an overview of the system featuresto customer system administration staff
- Manage the ordering, supply and return of necessary parts in response to a service call, ensuring the customers service contract entitlement is considered and acted on
- Ensure case management data is updated in accordance with service procedures
- Manage any escalated technical issues according to the escalation procedure
- Maintain effective relationships with sales staff to promote Customer Service programs and be aware of upcoming installations with particular attention to customer requirements.
- Provide software support services on the OS, networking, and filesystems for all contracted customer
- Drive customer satisfaction-represent the fair and professional treatment of customers in everyday activities and contribute to process improvements as needed
- Participate in scooping and quantification of deployment services during the sales process
- Project Manage Major technical tasks i.e. installations, custom services and retrofits
- Participate on the 7x24 roster.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline is expected.
- Minimum 5yrs experience in a related or similar role
- Proven skills in customer relations and customer service
- Proven problem solving ability
- Working Knowledge of and experienced with Linux and TCP/IP network administration
- Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated individual, able to handle concurrent demands, and with attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria:
- Familiarity with programming techniques including shell scripts and languages (eg C,HTML)
- Experience with x86 clusters, management tools and fault finding
- A developed area of expertise: Linux Kernels, graphics, inter-networking topologies
- Experience with Storage design/development particularly SAN & NAS
- High level of integrity with a passion to excel
- An ability to communicate complex information in simple terms.
